Get Ready To Be Enrolled In The “Police University” of 2021

Today, I’m going to present you a unique topic: the inside life of the police force,

teamwork formed from a well thought out cast, and a grand setting

 never encountered before in Korean dramas!

Here are some main aspects you might want to know about:

This story will show the process and communication between two different generations, with old versus new views that are intertwined along the way. Yoo Dong Man (Cha Tae Hyun) is an old-style veteran detective who runs anywhere and everywhere on foot, while Kang Sun Ho (Jung Jin Young) is part of the new digital generation and a genius hacker. The two members with a vast generation gap will soon become an unlikely pair, forming the bond as a mentor and student, then partners, despite the continuous clash of polar opposite ideas between them.

In this series, the viewers will get to see the realistic portrayal of the troubles experienced by the youth, who are so busy with life and its hardships, that they can’t even afford to dream. Kang Sun Ho, who never had any plans for the future, will soon begin to change after meeting his life mentor Yoo Dong Man and other colleagues. Meanwhile, Oh Kang Hee, who has been dealing with hidden scars, will grow after gaining experience from overcoming difficult situations. 

This particular environment and special training of the students, who are taking their first leap toward adulthood, will surely gain lots of attention and curiosity as the pacing of the story will develop. The various differences between the professors will be contrasting: the law teacher Kwon Hyuk Pil (Lee Jong Hyuk), who is the personification of envy and terror, as well as the judo professor Choi Hee Soo (Hong Soo Hyun), who possesses a particular affection for children. These are the main keywords that were chosen by the main actress to describe her character as: “confident,” honest,” and “police.” . Krystal explained, “Oh Kang Hee is always full of confidence, and she doesn’t put up a front and nor does she have any secrets or grudges. Above all, she has lived with a dream of becoming a police officer for a long time, and she is someone who works hard to achieve that.” She also mentioned, “‘Police University’ is a drama that can be enjoyed by men, women, and children of all ages. I think many people will sympathize with the stories of young people. The interesting stories of professors are enjoyable, and most of all, the drama is set in a police university that has never been revealed before, so I think it will be good for people who dream of entering a police university to watch.” (Translation source: Soompi)

To describe his character Kang Sun Ho, the actor chose the following keywords “laptop,” “judo uniform,” and “police uniform.” as Jung Jin Young explains further, “The laptop shows the intelligent side of Kang Sun Ho, a former hacker. The judo uniform shows the process of the physical change of weakling Kim Seon Ho who couldn’t do anything.
