tvN confirms upcoming drama “The Ghost Doctor” airing date

“The Ghost Doctor” starring Rain and Kim Bum will officially be out in 2022!

On August 11th tvN shared through media outlet Star News that “The Ghost Doctor” will exclusively air on tvN in the first half of 2022. The drama will be directed by Boo Sung Chul (“The Heirs” and “My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho”) and written by Kim Eun Hee (“Live Up to Your Name” and “Winter Sonata”).

“The Ghost Doctor” will be a medical fantasy drama that will revolve around two doctors who have extreme backgrounds, abilities, and tempers. However, their bodies and souls will merge into one after an incident. The upcoming drama will reveal the heartwarming story of ghost doctors who cannot leave the hospital and patients even after they die.

Rain will play the role of the genius cardiologist Cha Young Min. Kim Bum will play as Ko Seung Tak, the resident doctor that came from a rich family. APINK’s Son Na Eun will be playing as Oh Soo Jung, the emergency room intern. Other reported cast members are UEE and Seo Ji Young. 

“The Ghost Doctor” will be one of the firsts dramas lined up for tvN in 2022. 

“The Ghost Doctor” will be Rain’s comeback to acting after three years. He last starred in the drama “Welcome 2 Life” with Im Ji Yeon and Kwak Shi Yang. 

For Kim Bum, this drama will be his follow-up series after the hit 2020 JTBC drama “Law School” with Kim Myung Min, Ryu Hye Young, Lee Jung Eun, and more. 

Lastly, “The Ghost Doctor” will be APINK’s Son Na Eun first drama for 2022. The idol actress is also set to appear on the upcoming drama “Lost” starring Jeon Do Yeon and Ryu Joon Yeol.
