The last month of 2021 is here, and it brings with it loads of new dramas! We’ll have to try our best to get in all the dramas we want before the end of the year. Let’s see what we have to look forward to in this December 2021 edition of “Korean Dramas You Need to Be Watching.”

This monthly series is meant to keep you updated on what’s happening in that amazing world of Korean dramas so that you don’t miss out on anything! Here are the kdramas you should keep an eye out for in December 2021:

1. When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon

When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon Korean Drama - Yoo Seung Ho and Hyeri

I’m so excited for a new historical starring Yoo Seung Ho! He’s fantastic in them, and I can’t wait to see his pairing with Hyeri. When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon has an interesting setting and premise that will hopefully provide for an entertaining story!

When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon is set during the strongest prohibition law in Joeseon and centers around an inspector (Yoo Seung Ho) looking to restore the name of his family, a woman (Hyeri) making alcohol to pay back her debt, and a crown prince (Byeon Woo Seok) that frequently sneaks out of the palace for drinks.

When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon is scheduled to premiere December 20 on KBS.

2. Snowdrop

Snowdrop Korean Drama - Jung Hae In and Jisoo

Snowdrop is set in the 1980’s and is about a student Jisoo) at a women’s university who encounters an injured male student (Jung Hae In) in her dorm who is covered in blood and decides to tend to him and help him hide.

Snowdrop is scheduled to premiere December 18 on JTBC.

3. Bad and Crazy

Bad and Crazy Korean Drama - Lee Dong Wook and Wi Ha Joon

Bad and Crazy is about a materialistic police detective (Lee Dong Wook) who has another personality called “K” awaken in him which transforms him into a champion for justice that fights police corruption.

Bad and Crazy is scheduled to premiere December 17 on OCN.

4. Bulgasal: Immortal Souls

Bulgasal Korean Drama - Lee Jin Wook

Bulgasal: Immortal Souls is about a woman (Kwon Nara) who has has been reincarnated multiple times over the last 600 years that remembers her past lives and an immortal creature (Lee Jin Wook) who used to be a human that lives off of the blood of humans and is seeking revenge on the woman who made him that way.

Bulgasal: Immortal Souls is scheduled to premiere December 18 on tvN.

5. Taejong Ye Bang Won

Taejong Yi Bang Won Korean Drama - Joo Sang Wook

Taejong Yi Bang Won follows Yi Bang Won (Joo Sang Wook) as he helps his father (Kim Young Chul) overthrow the Goryeo Dynasty and establish the Joseon Dynasty.

Taejong Yi Bang Won is set to premiere December 11 on KBS.

6. Artificial City

Artificial City Korean Drama - Soo Ae

Artificial City is a psychological thriller about the head of an art museum (Soo Ae) that is owned by a conglomerate who enters a marriage of convenience with the illegitimate son of the Sung Jin Group (Kim Kang Woo) and tries to make him the president.

Artificial City is scheduled to premiere December 8 on JTBC.

7. Only One Person

Only One Person Korean Drama - Ahn Eun Jin, Joy, Kang Ye Won

Only One Person tells the story of a woman (Ahn Eun Jin) who is terminally ill that decides to kill just one bad person but she instead meets someone (Kim Kyung Nam) who becomes very important to her.

Only One Person is scheduled to premiere December 20 on JTBC.

The Red Sleeve Cuff is about a court lady (Lee Se Young) who develops a relationship with the Crown Prince (Junho) and eventually becomes a royal concubine.

The Red Sleeve Cuff airs Friday and Saturday on MBC.

9. Now, We Are Breaking Up

Now, We Are Breaking Up Korean Drama - Jang Ki Yong and Song Hye Kyo

Now, We Are Breaking Up follows the romance between leader of a fashion design team (Song Hye Kyo) who tries to benefit from her own work and a wealthy freelance photographer (Jang Ki Yong).

Now, We Are Breaking Up airs Friday and Saturday on SBS.

10. School 2021

School 2021 Korean Drama - Kim Yo Han, Jo Yi Hyun, Choi Woo Young, Hwang Bo Reum Byeul

School 2021 is the latest installment in the School series which focuses on the lives of students at a vocational school. Starring Kim Yo Han and Jo Yi Hyun.

School 2021 airs Wednesday and Thursday on KBS.

Idol: The Coup is about a group of doomed idols that need just one success so they can finally disband and move onto other things with the focus on a member of the failed girl group Cotton Candy (Hani), a member of a popular group (Kim Min Kyu), and the CEO of entertainment agency (Kwak Shi Yang).

The King’s Affection

The King's Affection Korean Drama - Rowoon and Park Eun Bin

The King’s Affection is a historical about a forgotten king who was actually a woman (Park Eun Bin) who kept her identity and follows her romantic adventures in the palace with her teacher (Rowoon).

The King’s Affection airs Monday and Tuesday on KBS.

Jirisan

Cliffhanger Korean Drama - Joo Ji Hoon and Jun Ji Hyun

Crime Puzzle

Crime Puzzle Korean Drama - Yoon Kye Sang and Go Ah Sung

Crime Puzzle is a thriller that is based on a webtoon of the same name about a police academy professor (Yoon Kye Sang) who shocks everyone by confessing to murdering his girlfriend’s father. He is arrested, and his girlfriend (Go Ah Sung) who is a criminal profiler works to investigate the case as they enter into a mental game.

Crime Puzzle airs Friday on Olleh TV.

Reflection of You

Reflection of You Korean Drama - Go Hyun Jung and Shin Hyun Bin

Reflection of You is about a woman (Go Hyun Jung) who grew up poor but is now successful. Even then, she regrets what she feels is a meaningless life. Then she meets a young woman (Shin Hyun Bin) who is poor like she was yet she still shines despite her circumstances.

Reflection of You airs Wednesday and Thursday on JTBC.

One Ordinary Day

One Ordinary Day Korean Drama - Kim Soo Hyun and Cha Seung Won

One Ordinary Day is about a college student (Kim Soo Hyun) who becomes the main suspect in a murder case and a lawyer (Cha Seung Won) who barely passed the bar exam who steps in to help him.

One Ordinary Day airs Saturday on Coupang Play.
