NCT’s Jeong Jae Hyun to lead KakaoTV’s “Bungee Jumping Of Their Own”

NCT 127 member Jeong Jae Hyun will be the main lead for the upcoming drama “Bungee Jumping of Their Own.”

On November 2, several reports stated that Jeong Jae Hyun will be the star of the upcoming KakaoTV drama “Bungee Jumping of Their Own.” The drama is a remake and will be exclusive from KakaoTV. 

Jeong Jae Hyun’s agency SM Entertainment confirmed the reports and revealed that the NCT member has been picked as the main lead of the upcoming drama. 

“Bungee Jumping of Their Own” is a film that was first released in 2001. It starred Lee Byung Hun and Lee Eun Joo. The story revolved around a high school teacher who’s not over his dead girlfriend. He will then meet a student who behaves the same as his girlfriend. 

Director Kim Jong Hyeok ( “Spring Day”) and (“God’s Quiz: Reboot”) will be the ones responsible for the remake drama. Choi Nak Kwon who produced the original movie will also produce the remake drama.

Jeong Jae Hyun will be playing the role of Im Hyun Bin, the male student who acts just like the dead girlfriend of the teacher. 

“Bungee Jumping of Their Own” will air during the second half of 2022. The drama will have 16 episodes, 25 minutes each. Filming is slated to begin in January 2022. 

This drama might be Jeong Jae Hyun’s official debut in the acting world. Although he already pre-filmed the KBS drama “Dear.M,” there’s no definite date yet when it will be released. The broadcast of “Dear. M” is still postponed indefinitely due to the controversy surrounding female lead, Park Hye Soo. 

Jeong Jae Hyun made his debut as an idol and part of SM Entertainment’s group NCT in 2016. Since then, he’s been busy with promotional activities as an idol. 

His group NCT 127 recently released a repackaged third album titled ‘Favorite.’ He is also taking part in the Youtube travel show “Analog Trip 2” with fellow NCT members.
