Netflix original Korean film “Yaksha: Ruthless Operations” to premiere this April!

The upcoming Netflix original movie “Yaksha: Ruthless Operations” will finally be released this April!

On March 4th, Netflix released the first official poster of the Netflix original film “Yaksha: Ruthless Operations.” it was also confirmed through the poster that the movie will premiere on April 8th, 2022. 

“Yaksha: Ruthless Operations” will be a battle between a Black Ops team (a secret team under the National Intelligence Service) and a special prosecutor against secret agents from different countries. It is set in Shenyang, China, the biggest battleground of spies.

The film is helmed by director Na Hyun who also worked on   “South Bound,” “My Way,” “Our Finest Hour,” and many other films. 

“Yaksha: Ruthless Operations” will be led by Sol Kyung Gu, Park Hae Soo, Yang Dong Geun, Lee El, Song Jae Rim, and GOT7’s Park Jin Young. 

Sol Kyung Gu will play the role of Ji Kang In, the head of the Black Ops team. He is a ruthless character who is not afraid of breaking laws just to fulfill his duties  He is nicknamed”Yaksha” which means a ghost that consumes people. 

Yang Dong Geun will play as Deputy Chief Hong, a veteran agent, and a member of the Black Ops team. Lee El will play the role of Hee Won, a senior team member of Black Ops. Song Jae Rim will play the role of Jae Gyu, the member who is in charge of tactics and  supplying firearms. Park Jin Young will play as Jung Dae, the youngest member of the Black Ops team. 

Park Hae Soo on the other hand, will play the role of Han Ji Hoon, a prosecutor who is demoted at the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office and is instead made to monitor the Black Ops team’s every move.
