It’s a sigh of relief after the weekend premieres of two new cable dramas, and probably the biggest winners from opening weekend’s good ratings and good reviews (critics and K-netizens) are the young male leads Nam Joo Hyuk and Song Kang. They even give off similar auras as tall, boy-next-door type male actors and I can see them being up for the same roles going forward. This weekend Twenty Five, Twenty One is higher in ratings than Forecasting Love and Weather but both dramas ratings increased from the first to second episode. K-netizens think between the two Nam Joo Hyuk is the better actor and also delivering a better performance but usually Song Kang gets ragged on more and this time he’s actually getting decent praise so that’s something to be happy about I’m sure.
