The long wait is almost over! Kim Soo Hyun and Cha Seung Won’s upcoming drama “One Ordinary Day” is confirmed to air this year.
On September 16th, the first poster for the upcoming Coupang Play original series “One Ordinary Day” was released. In the poster, Kim Soo Hyun and Cha Seung Won are seen shaking hands inside the iron bars. Kim Soo Hyun’s character Kim Hyun Soo is in a prison uniform. Meanwhile, Cha Seung Won’s character Shin Joong Han grabs Kim Hyun Soo with one hand and holds a business card in the other hand.
Aside from the intriguing image, the release month of the drama was also included in the poster. This coming November, “One Ordinary Day” will finally premiere.
“One Ordinary Day” will be directed by Lee Myung Woo (“The Fiery Priest”) and written by Kwon Soon Gyu (“The Royal Gambler”). The drama will exclusively air on Coupang Play and it will be produced by The Studio M, GreenBam Media, and Gold Medalist. The drama will have 8 episodes.
The upcoming Coupang Play series “One Ordinary Day” will depict the story of a college student who becomes a murder suspect overnight and a third-class lawyer who is the only person who wants to help him.
Kim Soo Hyun will play the role of Kim Hyun Soo, an ordinary college student whose life is turned upside down overnight. Cha Seung Won will play the role of Shin Joong Han, the only lawyer who believes and helps Kim Hyun Soo.
“One Ordinary Day” will be the first drama series of Coupang Play.
This drama will be Kim Soo Hyun’s first project for 2021. He last starred in the 2020 hit drama “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” with Seo Yea Ji, and Oh Jung Se,
Meanwhile, this drama will be Cha Seung Won’s comeback to dramas after four years. He last appeared in the 2017 series “A Korean Odyssey” with Lee Seung Gi. The actor was part of two movies this year including “Sinkhole” and “Night in Paradise.” He will reportedly star in the upcoming drama “Our Blues” written by Noh Hee Kyung.
